Happiness

Five things we ask our members to sign up to.

We love to play football. We've tried to create a club where everyone can have fun doing just that, no matter who they are. We strive to be competitive and improve as much as we can, but most of all we want to enjoy the time we spend on the pitch and at training.

We want everyone to feel welcome and happy at THWFC. Every year we elect a committee so that anyone who has an idea, a query or a problem knows who they can raise it with. There are player reps, team captains, a club Chair, and coaches - if you want to talk about something to do with the club, go to the most appropriate person, or the one you feel most comfortable talking to. Anything that can't be settled this way can be raised - in confidence if necessary - through other members of the committee.

Everyone commits a lot of time and energy to being members of THWFC. We have coaches who give up their time voluntarily to help us improve, so please come to training as regularly as you can, listen to what they say, and give them the same respect that you will receive in return. Respect your teammates by trying your hardest, taking responsibility for your contribution to the club, and encouraging each other.

THWFC runs different teams, but we're all part of the same club. Players will be selected for matches based on their commitment, attitude and ability. Movement between the first and reserve team squads is encouraged so that players have chances to develop and both teams are well supported to be competitive. We aim to ensure that players with less experience are able to progress and get chances to play too.

We want to represent the our club, the borough, and ourselves as individuals in the best possible way. Give proper respect to the teams we play against, the officials who run our matches, and all those who support THWFC and the wider development of women's football.
